why TRAVEL should be the best New Year´s resolution?

This year you are really doing it. Admit it- we have all made New Year´s resolutions before. The plan-making part is easy but plan-sticking part is more harder.
But somehow, the turn in the calendar gives us new power, energy and ambitions. We regroup, reboot and rise like a phoenix from the ashes.
But suddenly ..things get busy, you are tired of meeting people, no budget, no more power, no motivation...we make more and more excuses
What if.... there was a way to avoid all this planning? To skip the gradual slide into disappointment and get straight to the good stuff?
There is and it is really very easy... go TRAVELLING!!!! It will mark off all your new year´s resolutions and it is entertaining and educational.

Try something you would not do at home, treat yourself, become a better global citizen, get in touch with nature, take a mini vacation- weekend getaway, check another city, country or continent...
World is full of new adventures and BEAutiful spots to see and to be explored.

Constanine the Great airport

Dedina, kde nebol nikto len psy a pani s kozami

Ponúkol nám čokoládu, vodu a odviezol tam, kam sme potrebovali.

Pretože asi to nebolo súdené tam ísť.

My short love affair with Israel

My love affair with this holy country was short but very intensive, passionate and deep- spiritually deep. You know that it will end soon but you want to savor every precious moment to max. However, when I arrived to Tel aviv i did not think I will finally love this city. Because you know....there are places what are really easy to fall in love with, but also there are places which seem to be not so "wow" but finally it shown its hidden BEAuty.
mum loves Tel aviv, Tel aviv loves me and I love my mum :)

view

I am not sure what exactly it was that made me fall for the city – it might have been the nearly 14 km wide sandy beach right in the city center. Every day hundreds of people come out to the beach and watch it.
sending love

amazing sunset

hello from the beach

It was really nice walk from our apartment to the old city- Jaffa. When I came there first time, it was night. I was not able to see clearly where I am. The pitty was that sunset was "scheduled" too early. Almost at 16:30 was dark. I wanted to see wishing bridge. It is bridge with zodiac signs and according to ancient legend when you board the bridge and hold your zodiac sign and look at the see, your wish comes true.

i am sagittarius

I arranged trips to Jericho, Dead Sea, Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
I have still very strong feelings.

Jericho- the oldest city and lowest city in the world

view from old city

you can see 23 civilization here...dont you?

City in Palestinian territories.

It is impossible to not feel the sense of history.
The main attraction in Jericho is the Tel e-Sultan, the site of ancient Jericho. In reality, little remains beyond a few piles of rocks that archaeologists now tell us were once parts of towers, staircases and other structures that date back at least 7,000 years. The oldest stairs and wall in the world are on the site. The layers of 23 ancient civilizations were uncovered here and may be as much as 9,000 years old.
When you look around you can see the Mount of temptation where Jesus was tempted by devil. You can climb it or take a cable lift.

There is also a magic spring. "the men of Jericho came to Elisha and explained the situation of their city. They said "situation of the city is pleasant but the water is bad and land unfruitful." The prophet asked for jar. He told the men to put salt into water.  Hew threw salt in the waters and they were purified. They have  been purified to this day.

Also very strong experience is sycamore tree from bible time. Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through it. Now a man named Zacchaeus was there; he was a chief tax collector and was rich. He was trying to get a look at Jesus, but being a short man he could not see over the crowd. So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, because Jesus was going to pass that way.

Dead see- lowest place in the world

In November it was not crowded. No people, only our minibus. A place I have read and heard to much about and I am here!

I was standing there with mouth half opened and looking to the distant horizon where was the blue expanse of the Dead Sea. Famous the world over for being the lowest point on Earth (the ‘sea’ is 420 m below sea level), for its extraordinarily high level of salinity and for its numerous mentions in the Bible. Name is misleading: it is a lake and not a sea. The other half is spot on: with that much salt in the water, the lake is pretty dead! I stood there on the "seashore"... It was simply breathtaking!

People were floating on their backs in the lake whilst on the shore, others were slapping hands-full of mud onto their bodies. This is what makes the Dead Sea so special. The water and mud of the Dead Sea have been recognized for their healing properties since Biblical times.

Jerusalem

I am fascinated by history and spirituality. I went on a guided  tour of Jerusalem. We stopped to take in the view of the Temple Mount and Old City.

Our guide drove us to the Gate of Zion, and we walked through halls where miracles supposedly took place, inspiring. Such an great feeling, to be in the dining room where Jesus and his disciples had the Last Supper. To walk the Via Dolorosa, where he bore the cross on his back, on the way to crucifixion at Golgotha. I touched this rock, that was covering by the Church of the Holy Sepulchre where was also Holly tomb of Jesus.

Golgotha- rock where Jesus was crucified

I’ve heard of the Western Wall (or Wailing Wall) a lot, and still, it took me by surprise. I didn’t realize that it is divided into two gendered sections. The male area and the women area.

Bethlehem- holiest city in the world
In Hebrew, the town is Bet Lehem ("House of Bread" ) and, in Arabic, it is Bet Lahm ("House of Meat")

place where baby Jesus was born
Bethlehem is the birthplace of Jesus and therefore a holy site to Christians around the world. The city also is significant to Jews because it is the burial place of the matriarch Rachel and the birthplace of King David.

The city was turned over to the Palestinian Authority as a result of the 1995 Israeli-Palestinian Interim Agreement.

I visited church of nativity under which is "cave" where baby Jesus was born. Strong feeling.

It was very nice, educative, spiritual, breath-taking trip. I definitely come again but i would like to visit Eilat near the red sea what is close to Egypt and Jordan...next adventure will be Petra :)

Total feeling: inexpressible
budget: 45, eur- flight, 90,-eur- accommodation for 3 nights, 70,-eur- trips - 205,-eur
